Garden work

Out with the old in with the new...rumor has it that the rototiller on the left is the same age as Dee. Per Dee's mom, Dee's dad sold an old car and used the money to purchase the tiller. She also said that had it been continually used like they used it the first two years it would have never lasted this long. It has given faithful service for many years with the Allen's and then with the Hill's. Yet it has finally ceased to start even occasionally. We've had several suggestions for what to do with it.

  • Being out in the country, we could place it our our front yard for decoration. Several houses have wagons, plows or other farm implements it might fit right in. :)

  • or sell it on e-bay, it has to be an antique. :)

We've been gardening and preparing the flower beds. We've already got a handful of strawberries and Justin loves going to the strawberry patch to eat some strawberries. Everyone got in on the planting and preparing.

Justin helping with the planting, I guess he missed the memo that his dad was trying to get rid of the dandelions.

Bob hard at work.
Justin and Wendy in the front flower beds. There is so much clay we have a lot of work, but the beds we worked on last year show improvement.

Abbey planting seeds.

Abbey must be encouraging Bob along.
