Day 3: Scotchtown and Monticello
This was the view as we arrived at Scotchtown.
Scotchtown was one of the homes of Patrick Henry.

We took back roads from
Scotchtown to Monticello, we kept asking Abbey does this look familiar (her doing the same trip last year), but she was in a large bus, at that time and didn't get to see out much or the scenery looks much different from that view.

We took the next few pictures for Daniel's benefit, just in case he needed to brush up on plumbing history.
Unfortunately, at times, Daniel's job is not much different than it was 200+ years ago.

Truly what a blessing each one of them are.
Two sweet boys born thousands of miles from each other and from the United States, studying US history with their families. Justin was born in Seoul and Erik born in Liberia. Truly a miracle and a testimony of God's soverign grace.
We were walking down the back way from the house.
We saw a lot of this (or some other vehicle that was in our group) as we traveled around together.

Looks like I missed a great day, though I did get to sit in A/C all day.
FYI - One of the reasons Abbey wouldn't recognize the scenery is because, thanks to my dad's navigation, you all didn't get lost. So, unlike last time, there was no need to visit a church parking lot (in the middle of their church picnic) to do a U-Turn. :-)
